I just really like this picture of Melin. I don't know why Sean didn't want to use it for the work web page.

Olivia's Snowfairy

We've had some bizarro weather as of late. It's been really warm and then it will get cold and dump snow resulting in some great snowman building weather. Liv is very proud of the snowman she made with her Dad. What you can't see is the dust pans stuck into the snowman's back. These are the wings on the snowfairy.

And We're Off!

Friday February 23 we headed off to Florida. Erik's mother cried her eyes out. It was very hard to say good-bye to my cute little boy button. We had a 2 hour lay over in Denver where we had fun visit with a gloriously pregnant Kerri. It was so fun to see her like that. She looked very happy and beautiful. The count down is on for baby boy to make his appearance. It was a long travelling day and we were very relieved to finally make it to Orlando. Sean's parents picked us up at the airport and we headed to the hotel. Our hotel room was more like a condo. It is a time share. It was really nice, 3 bedrooms(2 with king beds) and 3 bathrooms a full kitchen, family room, washer/dryer and of course a pool outside. Well we got to bed late of course and were excited to get to the parks.

Day 1 Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is one of the 4 Disney parks. It has a lot of animal stuff as you may have guessed. When we got there we got our fast passes to the new roller coaster ride and then headed to the new musical Nemo show. We waited in line for 45 minutes, got seated and just as the show was about to start they announced that it was cancelled. We thought they were joking at first but they weren't. Olivia was very disappointed. Then on our way to lunch we saw Lilo and Stitch. Olivia was so excited but then they told us that they weren't seeing anyone else. So far not so good. After lunch we went to the broadway Lion King show where our luck changed. Olivia got picked to be in the grand finale. She walked the stage shacking her maracas(sp?). The show was packed and it was loud with dancers and singers. She wasn't nervous at all. We got it all on video. Her mother got teary. It was really fun. The rest of the day was good. We went on safari, Everest roller coaster, a water raft ride 3 times with Olivia. At the end of the day we ran into Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy which was fun for the girls.

Day 2 Sea World

Sea World was a most excellent day. We went straight to the dolphin exhibit and got in line to feed them. We bought lots of fish. All of us had great fun interacting with the dolphins. All of us got to touch them. Sommer said they always look like they are smiling. The Shamu show was also lots of fun. We sat in the soak zone and got soaked. I don't know what it is about whales and dolphins that makes them so facinating. Olivia went jumping on a trampoline in a bungy cord. They put you in a harness and them lift you into the air. The worked then pulls you down and lets you go flying. Olivia loved it as you can see in the pictures.

Day 3 Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure

I think we a bit tired this day. We crammed both parks into one day. These parks are more adult oriented and we'll skip them next time we go. The highlight for Olivia was meeting Dora. She also liked the Shrek and Jimmy Neutron rides. She went on the Jurassic Park ride which was too scarey. I think the girls had the most fun playing in the fountain at City Walk. Sean and his Dad had fun doing the Hulk and dueling dragons rollercoaster. Oh Liv got to go on a rollercoaster too. She loved it. The also liked the Cat in the Hat ride.

Day 4 Magic Kingdom

The Magic Kingdom was magical. It was Sommer's 9th birthday. In the morning we went to the Bibbidi Bobbido Boutique where the girls had their hair, nails and make up done. They loved it . Sommer's hair lasted until the next. Liv took hers out that afternoon. For dinner we ate with Minnie Mouse and some of the other characters. The girls loved it. We even had a birthday cake with Sommer's name on it, and the characters gave her a signed birthday card. It was really fun.

Day 5 Cocoa Beach

Day 6 & 7
