This is our front planter.

The fire pit.

Here you can see how we have leveled the side yard. It's nice to have the trampoline out of the way. The garden is up a level from the trampoline.

This is Lara's garden. I picked everything in it.

The Garden

For FHE last night we planted our first garden. It has raspberries, strawberries, beans, peas, cucumber, zuccini, tomatos, lettuce, red pepper, and potatos. I think that is all it is a huge experiment because we have never done this before. I also included some shots of our yard. It is looking good. We are really happy with it.

These are my roses. They are growing on the vine there on the left. The picture does not do them justice. They are pale pink and smell divine.

These are the rocks we picked up on the side of the road on the way home from Montana. Erik likes me to sit on the big one and he sits on the little one beside me.

This is the rock Sean snagged on the way home from Camp Gardner, by himself I might add. It is quite large and we were both amazed he got in into his car by himself.

My Lilacs.... aren't they beautiful. They smell awesome. I love walking by them.

The Fridge

So this morning when we woke up our fridge was warm. This is obviously not the temperature you want to feel when you open the door. There is a repair man here right now as I type taking a look at it. It's weird because the freezer side still works. I guess we'll see...... Last night we went to Costco and bought a bunch of flowers and shrubs for our yard. We also got some of those solar lights. We definitely have our work cut out for us today. Lots and lots of planting.
Ok the results are in on the fridge. Apparantly it was just dirty. Something was clogged etc etc. It seem to be working now so that's all that matters. So now we can get on with the rest of our day which again is planting. Have a good one!

WOW My Computer Is Fast

We bought a new computer a few months ago but until now it was hard to tell it was new. It did things so slowly. We had a guy from the IT company we use come and take a look at it and now it is awesome. I survived the weekend away. I'm very proud of myself because I didn't cheat on my diet at all. Now I'm down 16 pounds. We had fun in Montana. It was nice to get away. I bought a bunch of summer clothes for my kids. Sean golfed every day. This week has gone by pretty fast. Melinda took possesion of her new house so we've gone over there a couple of times and helped to peel off wallpaper. When she said her house was covered in wall paper she did not lie. The kids think it is the best house every because they get to rip things off the walls. Erik is turning into more and more of a little trouble maker. I cannot leave him alone for a second. Yesterday while I was trying to clean up for the Molly's to come I found him in my main floor bathroom bailing all of the toilet water onto the floor with a cup. There was water everywhere. He also dipped my ipod into the toilet and now it completely dead. We went to tape the season finally (sp?) of LOST and in both of the VCR slots there was an assortment of items. One VCR machine was completely busted. Good thing he is so cute. It is sad no more TV shows for the summer. Was Heroes not awesome this week?! Oh well I'd rather have the summer weather. That is if we would actually get summer weather. We had so much snow the other day that it broke the branches off our beautiful new trees in the back yard. Speaking of back yard.... on the way home from Montana we stopped on the side of the yard and snagged some awesome rocks for our yard. We picked the biggest ones we could lift. Fortunately they don't ask you at the border if you have any rocks to declare. Well I can't think of anything else right now.

The Long Weekend In Montana

We returned from our weekend in Montana last night. I think Sean drove home in record time. We had a fun time visiting Grandma and Grandpa. The girls shopped, the boys golfed and the children played in the backyard a whole lot. Even when it was raining they wanted to stay outside. Here's a few pics from our trip.

Mother's Day

Here they are all dressed up for church. I know I may be a little biased but aren't they beautiful!? Maybe one of these days I'll be able to get a picture with all three of them together.

Happy Mother's Day one and all. I forced my kids to take a picture with me for Mother's Day. I had a good Mother's Day. I got presents and the children sang well for me in Sacrament meetings, and then I didn't even have to make dinner. Thanks to all who participated!

A Pretty Darn Good Day

It's Friday YAY! And the weather is nice YAY! I actually have some down time because the girls are playing at the park with friends and Erik is asleep. I'm so glad we moved to this house. We love it here. Lots of places for the kids to play and lots of kids to play with. So today I went to the mall and managed to spend lots of money in a very short amount of time. I went to Toysrus and bought a new stroller that is so cool. It's one of those that has a standing platform and a seat in the back for older children, ie Livy. This one is really nice it has all the gadgets. Everytime I go anywhere Livy complains because she doesn't want to walk. So this will make life a lot easier. I also bought a seat for Erik that attaches to your bike in front of you. It is also very cool. I think he will love it. Today Sean hired someone to replace Melinda. That is a huge relief because of the employee shortage in Calgary. He is very happy with her too. We are very lucky to have such a great staff. Tonight we are going to Spiderman and we even have the favorite babysitter. I even got a present in the mail from Sean's parents so it is a good day all around. Oh and one more good thing, I'm down another pound and a half so that's 11.5 pounds. Tomorrow should be busy. We are going to a BBQ at Haslams at 1 and then Harrison is getting baptised at 3 and we are going to Pearsons for dinner after that. I'm going to have to take my JC food with me everywhere and fight the temptation not to eat extra food. It will be good practice for when we go to Kalispell for the long weekend. Well Sommer is here and she wants to register the new Webkinz I got her today. She is all about the Webkinz.

This One's For Grandpa

You can't leave him alone for a minute.
There was chocolate pudding blobs on the floor from the kitchen to the den.
He has a thing for hats.

I wanted to get a picture of all 3 of my kids together but Erik would not cooperate. It was like I was causing him physical pain when I would point the camera in his direction. This was the best I could get of him. I will have to try again another day.

Easter Dresses

Yes I know Easter was a long time ago, but I finally got some pictures of my girls in their Easter dresses. All of the Melchin grandkids had matching Easter clothes when we were in Denver for Kerri's baby blessing. They all looked so cute.
