Live and Let Liv

Before
This is the before biking down the ski hill picture. The after was too gruesome. Actually our camera broke on the ride down the ski hill so there is no after.
25th Percentile... As If
Erik is supposedly the 25th percentile for weight which all of us have a hard time believing because he is so rolly polly.
This is a good picture because you get to see Erik on the tube with the boat and the Sea Doo in the back ground, and Sommer with her friend Jessica. The McLellans were out for most of the week and Sommer had a great time with Jessica. They had a sleep over, mini golf, tons of swimming and even fireworks.
WE'RE BACK!
We have returned from another great Windermere trip. The weather was great, the activities were great and the company was great! We rented the Seidels rental cabin right on the water with pretty much my whole family. Everyone was there except for Amy's family. I must say I really could have used Amy out there with me this time because none of my other sisters would play with me. It was fun to have Kerri and Cade there. Hopefully Cade is recovering nicely. Sean and Cade rode mountain bikes down Panorama one day and Cade took some major diggers. Then Cade tried wake boarding and skiing, not to mention my famous tube rides. It's not fun unless it hurts right Freibergs. I am proud to say that I can still ski. I even got up on the wake board, however I did not stay up. The front boot was not turned to the front like I like it. All the kids had a great time and got a long really well. Sommer and Olivia have turned into little fish. They were in the lake for hours just swimming around. At first with life jackets and then tubes and then with just life jackets. We of course had our night time swim which Sommer got to come on.(so we kept our bathing suits on this time) (just kidding)We rented a Sea Doo and a 3 man tube which was really fun. A couple of the days were really windy with big waves. Michael and Scott went for a pretty crazy tube ride which I think they are still recovering from. All the kids went on the tube also, behind the Sea Doo and even behind the boat. Not on the windy days however. We are actually the not so proud owners of the tube now. Our crazy tube rides broke the zippers and they are making us pay for the tube to the tune of $400. The last day we were there the waves were huge and we of course thought it would be fun to go for a boat ride. Well we got hit by a huge wave that smashed the windshield to pieces and even bent the metal frame. It was like we were hit with a wall of water. We were soaked. I was just glad my Dad was driving and not me. That way he couldn't say what do you mean you broke the wind shield. Anyway we had a great time and were sad that it was over so fast. I always leave a little piece of my heart at Windermere. I'll post some pictures but we don't have very many. Our camera broke mid trip.

Catch Up
Why is it that the summer days just fly by and the winter days go so slow? I can't believe that we're coming up on the end of July. Kerri is on the plane right now heading to Calgary. Cousin Ross got married today. Last week when I returned home form his now wife's bridal shower Livy asked me where I went. I said I went to a bridal shower and she said with a very confused look on her face... did you get wet? Erik is crawling everywhere and the bumps and bruises have begun. He already fell down one step, fortunately just one step. He has also started to pull himself up into a standing position and hold on to things. Yesterday he was standing and holding on to a toy piano and then he let go.... he fell right over and hit his cheek on the edge of the toy piano. He had a nice big red mark but it's not bruised. Erik has actually slept threw the night for 3 nights in a row. I'm probably jinxing it by talking about it. I decided to let him cry it out one night and that seems to have helped him give in to sleeping in his crib. He probably only cried for 5 minutes but in felt like 20. We have accomplished quite a bit in the last week. We went through all the toys, threw out lots of junk and made a give away pile. Then we rearranged Sommer's room, and in the process of moving her desk it completely collapsed. One side of it tore right off and it fell over, wood chips flying everywhere, all the contents spilling on to the floor. All three of my children were looking at me in horor wondering what the heck Mom was doing. Sommer likes her new arrangement much better. It seems more roomy. They started working on our backyard this week. It is very fun. Sean took the entire bottom deck apart by himself and then he-maned the railing off the top deck. I heard the girls screaming and he was banging the rail and then it went flying off onto the ground below. Andrea and the gang took apart the rest and they almost have the new deck finished. We'll have to post some pics. I finished all the Harry Potter books. The books are really good and way better than the movies. I admit it, I'm hooked. I just hope she makes the last one nice and long. So You Think You Can Dance is all I have left now. We're getting ready to go to the lake and we are very excited. Erin and I bought bathing suits at Walmart today. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Don't you love bathing suit shopping. I'm down 24.5 pounds now but it's not enough. Must....keep.....going..... But we'll worry about that after the lake. Hopefully I'll be able to heave my body out of the water and up onto some skis. Well time to run. I would like to get the kids to bed before 11. "But it's not dark outside" Anyone else heard that lately?

Erik Is Crawling
It's official, Erik is crawling. He made it from Sean's bedside table all the way across our room, out the door, over the landing and of course to the stairs. He just refuses to stop growing up so fast. The peaceful baby blob days are quickly ending. Fortunately he is such a momma's boy that he follows me wherever I go. Today is pretty low key. Grace is over playing with the girls and they are playing nicely. I finished the 4th Harry Potter book, all 734 pages. I'm anxiously waiting for Erin to bring me the 5th one. Man if I could read the scriptures like I do Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, I would be a scriptorian. Tonight is my future cousin-in-laws bridal shower. I am going to pop in quickly and then cruise because tonight is also Sean's bishopric meetings. "So You Think You Can Dance" is a pretty good reason too. These little vacations are killing my diet. I haven't put any weight on but I find it so hard to get back into diet mode once I cheat. I only have about a week and a half until Windermere so I have to get serious. I got that Turbo Jam DVD and it looks good. I just need to DO IT. It would help a lot if my baby would let me sleep. I feel so tired all the time. Well, Sean will be done work in a half an hour. I should run around the house and tidy so I look like I've had a productive day. Good thing he doesn't read my blog.

Calaway Park
Our first trip to Calaway Park of the season. We are getting a late start mostly due to rain and trips and just plain fear of conquering the park with the babies and the toddlers. It went great and we all had a great time. This is Liv and Grace on the little kid roller coaster. When Catie comes I'm taking her on the big one!
The Little Kid Roller Coaster
We found that rides went the smoothest when Sommer sat with Matt and Liv with Grace.
The Bumper Cars
Of course the 2 toddlers love the bumper cars. This is Matt and Liv patiently waiting for their turn. Matt was so serious when I was showing him how to work his car. It was a dream come true.
Big Girls
Grace and Sommer were very proud that they rode on the eggs by themselves. I went with the 2 toddlers.
The Boats
Matt told me after this ride when he climbed on the back of the boat and stuck his hand in the water that he smelled the water on his hand. That kid and his nose. Always has to smell everything.
The Swings
Calaway park got rid of their big swings and now have little kid swings which all the children loved.

Glacier Park
So this is the only picture we took in Montana. It's Sommer and Sean in Glacier Park. It's actually taken on the drive home. Sommer was feeling car sick so they got out and walked around a little. For most of the trip our camera was "lost". I found it on the last day in the dirty clothes hamper. I wonder how it got there.... Livy perhaps.
