Week 467

So this week I started exercising. It has been a little painful I must admit. I have been doing the Turbo Jam Fat Blaster, which is 30 min of seriously intense exercise. My muscles aren't really sore but they are tired. I probably should be doing the easier ones but they are longer. I'd rather have more pain in a shorter amount of time. Sommer got her glasses on Monday and she says they help. She looks really cute with them. I'll get a picture. Sommer is growing up that's for sure. She actually said that gym was "awesomely awesome". Last year she didn't want to go to school because of gym. AND she is collecting money for Unicef and she actually talked to our neighbor all by herself. Olivia was the "special helper" at school yesterday. She got to bring the snack and something for show and tell. She brought her back to school cabbage patch that she got from Grandma (Tatum) and Rabbie, a little stuffed rabbit. I personally think it's just a ploy to have the parents provide the snack. Taz cleaned my teeth today. She did an excellent job and she entertained my be telling me about how she's doing. My teeth feel very smooth. Thanks Taz! Olivia set up her desk beside Carol at the office. She had a plethera of snacks, Kleenex, pens and of course stickers which she passed out to the good patients. I heard one of the patients say she was adorable and another ask her for her sticker because she had been good. Sean has been very busy with church work this week, starting on Sunday with meetings a visit and a fireside. Tuesday he taught at the teacher prep class, Wednesday was Bishopric meeting and tomorrow is a youth Temple trip. Bye Honey, Love you. Nice seeing you! Ah well it's not like I grew up knowing any different. Well it's time to cook dinner now. I may or may not go to a candle party tonight. I haven't seen much of Sean and it might be nice to just hang out with him tonight.

The Family Bike Ride

What A Girl!

Livy motors all over the place on her little tricycle. As you can see the back has a little trunk which she fills with freezies and a pair of scisors and supplies the neighborhood kids with a treat. She has become very popular. Now notice the rope she has trailing behind her. She uses this to tow other kids on their wagons of bikes. What a girl!

Thanksgiving Come and Gone

Well Thanksgiving has come and gone. I know I probably always say this but I can't believe how fast time goes. Olivia is almost 4 years old and it seems like just yesterday we were waiting for the phone to call to hear that she was born. Erik will be a year old in less than a month. It is really hard to believe. We had a nice long weekend. Scott and Erin came home so the family came to visit on Saturday night and then Sunday night we had a fire and made smores again, our own Sunday night fireside. Mom and Dad out did themselves again with a delicious turkey dinner, which we enjoyed again last night. Big news for Sommer.... she learned to right her bike without training wheels. Now we can't get her to stop riding. It was quite amazing. All of the sudden she just got it. Anyway she is quite proud of herself.

So Sunday I actually made it to church early for choir. I sat next to the Kearls so they could help me out while I sang. In the middle of the song Emily had to take Erik out because he was crying. So after I was done singing I went into the hall to get him where I ran into Erin. I ended up taking Erik, Matt and Grace back in with me, brave I know. They were all actually being really good. Liv and Matt were even looking at a book together. All of the sudden Liv and Matt yelled "basketball"! It was so loud. Apparently there was a basketball in the book.

Erik has been sleeping way better. He actually slept 12 hours straight through the night. Mom's will understand how when that happens your first thought is, is he dead? Hopefully we are getting past the brutal sleeping.

Brace Yourself

Ok, so yesterday we spent a lot of time at the office while Sommer was getting her braces on. While we were there Olivia was honing her patient skills. As Melinda or Carol would check the patient out at the desk, Olivia would come around the desk and put a sticker on them. No not just give them a sticker, put it on them. Then Olivia went back to check out Sommer's new braces. She got really close to Sommer and was looking very intently at the shiny new braces and said, "That does not look good".

So here is Sommer getting her braces on and doing at very good job. You can also see Sean with his birthday necklace on. So pretty.

Happy Birthday Sean!

Yes happy birthday to Sean. He is 36 today. I know it's hard to believe he is that old but it's true. To celebrate he had an insanely busy day at work. His kind staff gave him a cake and a present, and a lovely pink sparkely it's your birthday necklace that he wore all day. Thank you Health First team. He also got to put braces on Sommer, which was very exciting and somewhat stressful. She did great but the next few days may be difficult.... She looks very grown-up. Then we went for dinner at Joey Tomatoes with my parents. Sommer got to come along but the young ones stayed with a baby sitter. We had a very nice time. I gave him a sports watch which he actually liked. It's a miracle! We love you Seany! You're the best.

Wow... October is really here. Those are some big, wet, snowflakes out there this morning. We had a good General Conference weekend. We seemed to be able to watch more of it this time in peace. There were lots of good talks. One that particularly stands out to me was Elder Worthlin on the Resurrection. The way he described how he had lost his loved ones and how one day we will be together again in a perfect state made it really personal. Erik is going to be a conductor when he grows up. Every time the choir would start singing he would wave his arm up and down for the whole song. It was so cute! Saturday night Melinda and Michael came over and we had our first fire in the fire pit. We roasted marshmellows and had smores. It was very fun. Then they came over for BBQ hamburgers on Sunday, also enjoyable. We had a nice visit and we glad to still have some family around. Melinda taught Erik to blink his eyes on purpose so he sat there for about 5 minutes concentrating on blinking his eyes....again so cute! This and the leading the singing needed to be on video but of course it wasn't charged. It is now though. I need to do way better at using the video camera. Still pictures are nice but so hear them and see them move is way better. Especially since they grow up so fast and are always changing. I'm officially starting my weightloss again today. I need to be held accountable so feel free to bug me about it. I am preplanning 2 cheating days and only 2, Thanksgiving and my birthday, your only 35 once unfortunately. I'm going to lose another 30 pounds before Christmas. So there you have it. Well both of my girls are at school and Erik is still asleep so I think I might go back to bed. Erik did not sleep well last night.
