I Don't Know What To Call It

I've been postponing the post because I have pictures from Karaoke night and want to put them on but there are about 300 pictures on my camera and I need to clean them off first. I only know how to do that one at a time and so I'm waiting to see if Sean knows a faster way. So after that very blue explanation I decided to post without pictures for know. The Karaoke party seemed to be a success. I had a lot of fun and hopefully everyone else did too. We need to make that a regular event. Scott left the machine hear and I've been practicing. I don't mean to brad but I reached to diamond level and got a trophy. That's a score of 50000 by the way. So bring it on! Saturday was pretty low key. Sean got a cold and wasn't up for doing much. So our anniversary dinner at the Calgary tower was cancelled, hopefully postponed. Saturday night was brutal with Erik. I maybe slept for 4 hours. So when church came around in the morning and Sean was sick, I didn't go either. The unfortunate part was that Sommer was supposed to give a talk. I don't know if she was actually going to go through with it. She kept saying that see was going to get up and say that she wasn't going to talk. Anyway, Melinda and Michael came over for dinner. My parents were supposed to come too but Mom wasn't up for it with the foot. We had tasty dill chicken with lots of left overs. Unfortunately I did not put them away right away and Livy decided to make a stew with them. She poured a bunch of water and who knows what else right into the pan. So sad. She had to sit on the chair for that one. That night we had the family conference call which was quite interesting. Fun to hear from people I haven't heard in a long. We are definitely not a family lacking in opinions. Hopefully we ended all on the same page and can get this reunion underway. After that.... more karaoke. Melinda tried to take me but alas she couldn't. She was close. Monday was monday. School is still going... for the love! It has been really hot for Canada, no comments you southerners. We don't have A/C so whatever it is outside it's at least that inside. I think it was 89F. We've been to visit Mom every after noon. Erik got up on his hands and knees today and moved one knee forward and then the other. He totally wants to go. NOOOOOOOOOO! I say. Oh well, can't stop him. I was finally down again, 1.5 pounds for a total of 23. I want to lose 7 more by the end of July for our Windermere trip. Last night every single one in my family got me up, including Sean. The sleeping lately is a total joke. I put a clock in Erik's room that has sounds and turned the heartbeat sound on. We'll see if that helps. Tommorrow is the last day of school YAY! Well I should go check the children. I'm supposed to be babysitting Matthew. Ta Ta for now!

So Scarey!

Ok, so last night my son almost choked to death. I was giving him his antibiotic like I do every day for his kidneys and he was fighting it which he's been doing for the past month. He must have gotten down the wrong tube because all of the sudden he couldn't breath and he was making weird noises and then he went limp and his eyes rolled back and he started to turn blueish. Of course Sean was at church meetings. I flipped him over and pat his back and he would do a little cough and then go limp again. It took a few tries to get him coughing and starting to breathe. Sommer was watching, horrified. It scared me really bad. Fortunately he coughed it out and was fine. I'm nervous to give it to him tonight. I'm going to have to do it one drop at a time. Today was really busy. I cleaned up for the Mollys to come. Thank you Sean. Then took lunch to my Mom who is laid up with a broken foot. We visited for a while, tidied up, a little laundry, entertained Mom with insane toddlers, got her shopping list and headed to Costco. Dropped off Mom's stuff, got gas and headed home where we BBQ'd some steaks, had sweet potatoe fries and corn on the Bob, as Livy says, for dinner. Erik found his screaming voice today. He was telling Sommer right off because he wanted more of her popsicle. We also got some cute video of him getting extremely excited while playing with a ball. Sean's so happy to have a boy. Tomorrow is the karaoke party.... should be fun. Well it's bedtime for the kids so off I go.

Karaoke Party

Friday night, my house 7:00pm. Bring some food to share and your singing voices. This is for you Libby, Nena and Jessica. It will be lots of fun except for the Nazi Karaoke master (Scott Wolff). Hi Cindy, it was great to talk to you. Let me know when you are coming.

The Saddledome

Liv outside the saddledome after the show ended. She wanted to go right back inside and see it again. Posted by Picasa

The Dora Flashlight

Liv got a Dora flashlight at the show that she waved all over the place to the music. Posted by Picasa

The Dora Pirate Show

Today our neighbor gave us 2 tickets to the Dora stage show down at the Saddledome. If you know Liv, you know she loves Dora. She was soooo excited. She sang along and yelled back at the stage characters. During the intermission she said I'm done with this break. And, of course when it was over she wanted to go again. She called family members on the drive home and told them all about it. She said she was so excited she saw Dora and it was real. Posted by Picasa

The Bad Sleepers

My two bad sleepers asleep in my bed. My angel sleeper (Olivia) is safely tucked into her own bed. Thank you Liv! They are cute though. Posted by Picasa

Czech Bread Dumplings

So one of Sean's patients who is a Czech and know of Sean's Czech background gave us an authentic Czech cook book. These dumplings are a favorite of the family, especially Sean's Dad. I thought I would make an attempt to make some. This is the scarey result. Unfortunately the cook book is not very accurate as far as amounts go. Posted by Picasa

Update

So Thursday night I actually went to enrichment. I know it's shocking. I figure I should go since it's only 4 times a year now. We had a service auction and my service was to set up a blog for someone and help them learn how to use it. Most people didn't know what I was talking about. Let's just say it wasn't a hot item, but one lady did get it. I bid on and got some muffings made with Splenda. I've always wanted to try baking with that so here was my chance. It has a bit of an aftertaste I think but pretty good. Friday night we took the kids to see Cars. We liked it better than Over The Hedge. It held Livy attention alot better. It is a full 2 hours long which is a little much. Livy said, "That was Fun" as we were leaving. She also saw a guy with his hair shaped into big spikes all over his head. She said, that guy has a poky head. He can't lie down he will poke his pillow. I spent Saturday morning paying home and office bills. Always a good time. I actually made my first garage sale purchase. I bought a kids wagon from my neighbor for 20 bucks... it has 2 seats that lift for storage and 2 doors to climb in and out of. Today I need to run to Costco and buy a pie for Father's Day. They are serving the men pie in our ward tomorrow. I volunteered to "bake" one. So I'm off to Costco... I'm now down 21.5 pounds. Thanks for all the YAY's. It's great to have a little support team.

Give Me A YAY!

I passed the 20 pound mark. YAY! I'm down 20.5. I was pretty happy about that when I got on the scale this morning. That's really all I have to say for now.

Have a Good Day

I've had a hard time blogging lately because everytime I sit down to post I can't think of anything to say. How pathetic is that. I guess I'll just give a little re-cap of what's been going on. Let's see.... last Wednesday Liv had her ENT appointment. He said her tonsils are quite large so we should watch her when she sleeps and see if there is any distruption in her breathing. If she seems to be having difficulty then they should probably be removed. Thursday the Molly's came (Thanks Sean!) and we went to Costco in the afternoon. Friday day we actually switched things up and went to Superstore. We got lots of cheap hair do-das for the girls. Sean and I went out for dinner at Earls and then say X-Men 3 MAYBE The Last Stand. It was good, we enjoyed it. Melinda kept Erik for us so we were actually alone. It was very nice. Sommer went to a friends house to watch a movie. Saturday was party day for Sommer she had a birthday party from 10-1 and then from 1:30 to 4 and then we had a ward movie party at 6:00. Liv played with the neighbor girls across the street. I made an attempt to get a new church outfit at Reitmans but I wasn't so successful due the little critters that were with me. The ward movie party was enjoyable. The kids had fun and I got some adult conversation. Sunday was Sunday. We made it for the sacrament. YAY! Sean was gone from 7:30am until 4:30pm. We were supposed to have my parents for a BBQ but my Dad was fevered yesterday and feeling lousy. Erin was having the Wolffs for dinner but Kevin and Elyse couldn't come so we went there instead. It was yummy and fun. That brings us to today. Monday morning..... Sommer to school, Sean's car to get the tires rotated, Sean is having a massage right now and I'm so jealous and then lunch at the mall with Sommer. The afternoon is free. I'm going to make Sean do something with me since he was so grumpy on Saturday. I think we are going to have a Kareoke party here on Friday night so I'd like to finish up a few things around the house. Well, have a good day.

Life Rolls On

How-dee-do. Life in Freibergia rolls on and on. This morning we were out the door early. Erik and I had a Dr appointment at 9:10am. I don't know what I was thinking scheduling it so early. We dropped Livy off at Mimi's and then Sommer off at school, and we actually arrived on time at the Dr. It was Erik's 6 month check-up although he is almost 7 months. He was the 90th percentile for height and the 25th percentile for weight. I was surprised by the 25th% and so was the Dr. He seems so rolly polly. Anyway he is doing well. He was shy with the Dr. He got his sad face and started to cry. The Dr. checked my legs and they have improved a lot it may take a couple weeks for the spots to completely disappear. We got our new BBQ working last night so I'm sure we'll BBQ again for dinner. It is a really nice one and cooks really well. Tomorrow Liv has her appointment with the ENT to check out her enormous tonsils. I got Sommer some new summer clothes today. They look really cute on her.

Get Busy

Well I'm back to my pre-vacation weight which is down 18.5 pounds. I'll be very excited to get to the 20 pound mark. So the dieting begins again. My legs seem to be improving with this medicine I got from the doctor. At least I don't feel like scratching my skin off now. I'm glad it's Friday. I'm really sick of the school routine. Amy's kids are done today. We go all the way to the end of June. It's not right. It's going to be a beautiful day today and I don't feel like doing any work. At the same time I feel overwhelmed at all the things that need doing. I have to do some stuff for the practice, laundry and more laundry, and of course clean up the house. So what am I doing instead....blogging. Just typing about it is stressing me out now so I should probably go get busy.
