The Weekend

We've had a good weekend so far. We actually went out on a date Friday night with no children. Little Erik stayed home with his sisters and the babysitter for the first time. We met up with my parents at the theatre and saw Mission Impossible 3. It was pretty tense. We liked it. Saturday Sommer went to her day camp for activity days. She had a great time. They decorated boxes, made friendship bracelets and went swimming at the wave pool. Her favorite part was floating on the river run holding on to a ball. Livy and Erik stayed home with Dad while I went and got my hair done. I'm blonde again, and I feel like I'm back to myself. I had my eyebrows and my armpits waxed for Hawaii. Having your armpits waxed feels like they are ripping not only the hair out but the skin off. They feel almost normal today and they are smooth. Saturday afternoon we went to buy shrubs for our yard but Sunnyside had no shrubs. Apparently it is too early for shrubs. Since then Sean has been making big plans for our yard so it's probably a good thing we didn't buy shrubs. For any of you who saw the our last yard you will agree that Sean does not think small. Saturday night we all went to Dairy Queen for banana splits in honor of my Granny's birthday. She would have been 100. She passed away when I was a freshman at BYU 16 years ago. It was a tradition for her to have a banana split on her birthday. I did not eat anything due to my diet, 14 pounds now. I think she would understand. After bath time and bed time we watched the end of Batman Begins. We made it for the sacrament this morning which I am happy about. While we were eating breakfast the girls and I were talking about Michael and Melinda babysitting them when we go to Hawaii. Livy said that Melinda will be the prophet and that Livy will follow the way. I thought that was a cute and some what perceptive analogy for a 3 year old. I went to choir this afternoon and tonight there is a fireside by our Temple President. Sean is going to go and I will be home with the children of course. Oh well, being a Mom is still the best job.
